Kirchner: Ideas Must Become Deeds
Buenos Aires, Sep 7 (Prensa Latina) Argentine President Nestor
Kirchner affirmed on Friday that the most important thing for those who
assume the responsibility of public life is to make thoughts become
facts and to keep one's promises.
Speaking during an agreement signing ceremony for infrastructure works
in southern Chubut Province, he reviewed his administration's actions
to ease the difficult situation in that territory.
He noted that employment in the cities of Comodoro Rivadavia and Trelew
improved substantially, especially with the ALUAR Aluminum Plant in
Port Madryn.
Such achievements create hundreds of new jobs and they help the
province grow stronger, a fundamental step for the growth of the
country, he said.
Speaking nationally, he said it is key that all citizens understand
democracy not only means electing leaders in a transparent election,
but also making certain that institutions function well.
Kirchner gave his support Chubut Gov. Mario Das Neves, who is running
for reelection, a support seconded by First Lady Sen. Cristina
Fernandez, presidential candidate, who said she would back Das Neves to
make Chubut one of the greatest Argentine provinces.
